Disneyland Baby Centers

Disneyland is a place for everyone, and at
Disneyland, they have thought of everything –
including the babies. The Disneyland Baby Center
is located on Main Street, behind the Plaza Inn.
This is not a babysitting service. Instead, it is a place
where you can attend to your babies needs.

There are several characters present in this area,
and their purpose there is not only to amuse your
baby, but also to help you attend to your baby’s
needs. This area has rockers, where you can rock
and breast feed your baby. No men are allowed in
this room, but they are allowed in other rooms within
the Baby Center. You can warm a bottle or a jar of
food, and clean bottles as necessary. Baby changing
tables are available, and the entire center is very
clean and comfortable. There are even smaller toilets
for children who are being potty trained.

You can also purchase emergency baby supplies at
the Baby Center. Diapers cost about a dollar each,
and several different types of formula and baby food
are kept in supply, although the selections are l
imited. This is Disneyland’s way of making sure that
the needs of every guest – no matter how small they
may be – are attended to.

Disneyland and Disabilities

Even if you are confined to a wheelchair or on
crutches, you can still enjoy Disneyland. If you are
on crutches, you should consider renting a
Disneyland Scooter to get around the park. The
rental fee is $35 per day, with a $20 deposit. A valid
driver’s license is required, and you must be
eighteen years old or older.

You can also choose to rent a wheelchair, which is
not electronic. The rental fee for a wheelchair is $8
per day, with a $20 deposit. You do not have to rent
your wheelchair or Scooter from Disneyland. You can
choose to rent the apparatus from a private company,
and have the wheelchair or scooter delivered to your
hotel room. You may find that it is cheaper to rent
from a private company, as opposed to renting from
Disneyland.

All of the restaurants and shops are wheelchair
accessible, as are the entertainment areas. When it
comes to wheelchairs, your problem will be
accessing some of the rides. Some rides are not
appropriate for people who are in wheelchairs,
while others are perfectly suitable. For instance, you
will not be able to enjoy Donald’s Boat, Sailing Ship,
or Tarzan’s Tree house.

However, there are many attractions that you can
enjoy, such as The Disney Gallery, Disneyland
Monorail, the Disneyland Railroad, the Tiki Room,
The Golden Horseshoe, It’s A Small World, Mark
Twain Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island. Some
attractions will require you to be transferred from your
wheelchair, such as Alice in Wonderland, Indiana
Jones, and the King Arthur Carrousel.

Cast members and service personnel will be happy
to help with Guest wheelchair transfers, and if you
should lose a wheelchair or scooter that you’ve rented
from Disneyland, simply show the ticket for the
wheelchair or scooter, and Disneyland will happily
supply you with another one. However, if you lose a
wheelchair or scooter that was rented from an outside
company, Disneyland will not be able to help you
replace it, and you may have to pay the rental company
the full value of the chair. This is something to consider
when you are trying to decide whether to rent from
Disneyland or a private company.

Whether you can enjoy a ride in your wheelchair, or
you must be transferred from your wheelchair to the
ride, you can actually enjoy most of the rides at
Disneyland. Do not allow the fact that you can’t walk
around the park keep you from planning a Disneyland
Vacation. Again, Disneyland was designed with
everyone in mind!

Disney Dollars and Disneyland Merchandise Cards

When it comes to kids and money, we all know what
happens. The money either gets spent the wrong way,
or it gets lost. With Disney Dollars and Disneyland
Merchandise cards, you may be able to cut down on
some of this.

Disney Dollars work just like cash at Disneyland.
They can be used anywhere in the park, and at
certain hotels. They can even be used at local
Disney stores in your area. The Disneyland
Merchandise Card works more like a credit card. The
amount of money you load on the card is how much
is available. All of this fits quite nicely into the
FreePass holder, so there will be less chance of
losing the dollars or the card.

You can also purchase a Disneyland Resort Gift
Card. This card can only be used at the Disney
Resorts, as well as stores that accept credit cards
at Disneyland. These cards also make great gift
items for anyone who loves Disneyland, or for
anyone who is planning a trip to Disneyland. This is
a great way to budget money for souvenirs as well
as snack items while at Disneyland.

probably in the very front of your mind. Vacations
can be quite expensive, and it is important to cut
costs wherever you can, without sacrificing your
families fun. You can save quite a bit of money with
discounted tickets for Universal Studios Tours.

There are many ways to obtain discounted tickets
for Universal Studios Tours. Coca-Cola has
specially marked cans that will save $10 on
admission for a certain number of people. You can
also save money by asking your travel agent for
special deals. Many businesses also have coupons
for discounted tickets. You will save additional
money by purchasing your tickets online, and

Disadvantages of public schooling

When we consign our children to public schools, we feel satisfied
that they are receiving ‘quality education’. But, are we really
getting our money’s worth? More importantly, are the children
gaining anything from this kind of a learning procedure?

Socialization is hailed as one of the greatest advantage of
schools. This is the place where the child picks up the rudiments
of social skills that help him survive. But in truth, a regular
school-going child can interact only with his peers. He may bully
younger children or fear older ones. He does not know how to
behave with an adult. This is because in the school environment
he interacts only with his peers. A homeschooling environment
brings in a more natural social environment.

A regular school going child cannot read literature. He cannot
keep silent or think in depth about any one thing. The artificial
‘busy’ness imposed upon him by the school disallows quiet
contemplation. Rowdy and destructive behavior, as seen among
peers, is more noticeable in school-goers.

There is little long-standing knowledge among regular school goers
because most things are learnt for the exam. There is no
correlation of facts with life. The child may know a lot, but
understands very little. This is where the homeschoolers beat the
regular school goers. Ultimately, homeschoolers emerge more adept
at facing the outside world.

Differences between Pre-Paid and Legal Plans

It is not uncommon to see the terms “legal plans” and “pre-paid legal
services” used interchangeably. While they share a lot of characteristics
in common, there are a number of differences you should be aware of.

Both of these terms refer to an arrangement whereby you pay a fixed monthly
or yearly fee in exchange for legal services. The idea behind them is to
save consumers on high legal fees whilst offering a valuable service.
That’s where the differences lie: what kind of service is offered and what
is covered. What are you entitled to in both schemes?

Pre-paid services cover for specific legal services: free phone
consultation and advice, drafting of simple wills and trusts, review of
sample contracts and writing of letters on your behalf. Legal services not
provided will get charged at regular attorney fees, but you may be eligible
for discounts.
Legal insurance, by contrast, works much like other insurance plans, like
health or car insurance. Although specific legal services are offered at
times, your insurance provider will typically offer a policy that covers
for all legal services. The policy will pay on behalf of you, the policy
holder, or reimburse all expenses, costs or fees that you pay for legal
services up to the policy limit. For instance, your policy might reimburse
any fees incurred in your court judgments or pay your bail money – a
service not provided by most pre-paid legal plans.

Your legal insurance is also pegged to other insurance policies you may
already have. If you run into legal problems involving your other
insurance, then your legal insurance policy will protect you against loss
or liability. For instance, if you are involved in a car accident when your
auto-insurance has already run out and you are subsequently sued for
recovery of damages, you will be protected by a legal plan insurance.
The other difference between the two schemes is related to your choice of
attorney. In a pre-paid legal service, you get to choose from a restricted
number of the attorneys in the network. By contrast, a legal insurance plan
provides legal coverage regardless of attorney. You are free to set up
interviews with any number of attorneys and choose the ones you think will
provide the best service for your personal legal needs.

Finally, pre-paid legal plans are much more accessible to the general
public. Legal plans are harder to come by as only a limited number of
insurance companies offer such arrangements.

Developmental after school programs

As a child grows into an adult, different aspects of his physical,
emotional and mental self needs development. To help a child reach his
full potential, it is necessary to recognize the child’s developmental
needs and abilities. To be effective, after school programs should assist
children with tasks they must accomplish during each stage of development.

A child’s growth curve can be divided into three main parts:
1) Young child (ages 3-5)
2) Middle school (ages 6-8)
3) Older school (ages 9-12)

The four important domains of development are: The Physical Domain, the
Social Domain, the Emotional Domain and the Intellectual Domain. Each of
these domains needs to be separately addressed during the various phases
of a child’s growth. After school programs should concentrate on
developing each domain as applicable to the age of the child. Although the
children participating in these programs may have similar developmental
needs and age, do not expect development to be uniform. Children will
develop as and when they are ready.

Physical Domain:
When children are young, they want to perfect skills that they have just
learnt to control. A variety of movements such as jumping, catching and
throwing delight them. The middle school child, on the other hand, wants
to learn more complex skills and get involved in team sports. This is also
the best time to learn about rules and discipline in sport. The older
school child is ready for more adult-like activities that need greater
structure and discipline, like dancing, gymnastics, music classes etc.

Social Domain:
Young children are observing others and will be interested in games where
they play the roles of family members. They develop short-term friendships
and need an adult’s presence to assure them. The middle school child is
intrigued by society and will love trips to factories, public buildings
etc. They want to know the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of things. The older school
child is ready to learn about different cultures, food and customs. They
want to do some amount of social work too.

Intellectual Domain:
Young school children will practice what they are learning. Middle school
children want to learn more skills and will show interest in reading,
drama and problem solving. The older school children are ready to research
and probe. They enjoy getting a puzzle and pondering over it.

Any after school program needs to address the interests of the child depending
on the category he belongs to. Knowing the children in your program and
appreciating their needs and interests will help staff to plan and
structure programs that are most useful to that group.
