Bad Break Up – Hurts – But Can Be Positive

The first thing you will want to do after a bad break up is to let yourself feel the hurt. Don’t bottle it up or push it down and pretend everything is ok. We all know everything is not ok and it is not healthy to pretend you are not hurting. If you ignore it, it will not go away and someday will come back to bite you in the butt.

Now, I don’t mean you have to go off the deep-end either. Never threaten your ex. Nothing good will ever come of threatening someone. There are healthy ways to handle what you are feeling.

You must realize that you will not be over your ex tomorrow. Getting over someone takes time. Make the time constructive and treat it as a time to learn new relationship skills. You will not only be healthier for yourself but also for the next time around with someone new.

So, feel your pain, but do not let it consume you. Put a time limit on it. When the anger starts to surface, and it will, trust me, there are safe ways to let it out where no one gets hurt.

If you still have a picture of your ex, draw a target on it and tack it up on the wall. Go buy some marshmallows and stand about ten feet from the tacked up picture. Throw the marshmallows one at a time, as hard as you can at the picture while telling him/her off. Scream at the top of your lungs, just get everything out. There are about forty-five marshmallows in a bag, throw each one and when you are done, yeah, you will have a mess but you will feel a lot better. You might even be laughing when you are finished. Ha, what bad break up?

There is something to be said for being able to laugh. If you can laugh, whatever the trouble is, it probably isn’t really that bad. You know you can handle anything at this point. You will survive and realize that it was not the end of your world, just the end of a relationship that had been bad for a long time.

If you have given yourself plenty of time (minimum six months) to get your world put back together then consider dating again. The next time you find someone you would like to get to know better, take it slow. What the heck, even play hard to get. You are stronger now and know more about what you need and want in a new relationship.

Do not give up on love, love is the most beautiful thing to be in, in the whole world.
Just take your time getting into a new relationship. Talk to whoever you are considering dating and let them know that your previous relationship ended badly and you are going to do whatever it takes to not let yourself get hurt again and avoid another bad break up.

Skin Yeast Infections – Weight Loss Can Help

Skin yeast infections can occur on the skin anywhere on the body where the skin is allowed to remain moist and warm. Some people are prone to getting these infections especially if they are overweight and diabetic. Being diabetic also makes these infections worse and makes them take longer to heal than normal.

If you are overweight, anywhere you have a skin fold is susceptible to skin yeast infections. Remember to dry these areas well after bathing and keep them dry throughout the day. wear cotton underwear and clothing to maximize your skin’s ability to breathe. Synthetics do not allow your skin to breathe and make you more susceptible to getting yeast infections.

I know that when you hear the term ‘yeast infection’ you normally associate it with a female vaginal yeast infection or thrush (a yeast infection in the mouth, usually a nursing infant) or athlete’s foot. Yeast can grow anywhere if the conditions it needs to grow are all present at the same time.

Yeast infections, or candidiasis, are caused by a fungus called candida albicans. Areas infected become red, swollen, itchy and painful. If not treated these areas can become cracked and bleeding can occur. If they do open up then you run the risk of other infections setting in and causing further problems.

Years ago my mother fell and broke her humerus bone in her upper arm and because she could not move her arm for several weeks she developed a yeast infection under her arm and in her arm pit. Since she needed assistance bathing herself I would stop over several times a week after work and help her. What we did to treat the yeast infection she got was to spray a wash cloth with the same stuff you would use for athlete’s foot and then carefully place the wash cloth under her arm. This worked very well and the yeast infection was gone in about seven days.

Antifungal medications are available over the counter but if you do not know what to use then do yourself a favor and get the advice of your doctor before spending any money. My mother’s doctor advised us to use the spray and it worked like a charm but even as a nurse I probably would not have though about using the spray and tried to use some cream instead, possibly causing my mother more pain than I would ever intend on causing her.

Other treatment options are prescription medications that you take by mouth but obviously your need can only be determined by your doctor. Taking these medications carefully and only as prescribed is very important. Do not, I repeat, do not mix these medications with alcohol because if you do they create something a lot like formaldehyde in your blood stream and will make you wish you were dead or make you very sick at the least. Embalming yourself while you are still alive is ill advised.

Skin yeast infections are very easily treated and really are no big deal as long as you do treat them promptly and they do not become bigger than they need to be.

Simple Ways To Lose Weight By Portion Control

If you want to lose weight you have to cut back on the amount of food you consume. It sounds simple and it is, if you know what a portion of food should be. Control your portions and you’ll control your weight.

It can be a shock to find out that what you think you’ve been eating is two to three times a normal portion. Did you know that a portion of meat is 3 ounces, about the size of a deck of playing cards? We’ve become accustomed to super sizes as the norm. A 12 ounce can of soda is considered 1 and ½ servings. One cup of cooked pasta is a serving not a bowlful.

When we sit down at dinner, most of us fill our plate and then consume everything on the plate. An easy trick is to use a smaller plate. You’ll still fill that plate and polish off your dinner, but you’ll end up consuming less calories. Use smaller plates, bowls and cups, you’ll still feel satisfied.

Another trick is to garnish the plate with inedible garnishes – like raw kale, thinly sliced fruit, or a bulky garnish like fresh parsley. You’ll think you’re eating more than you are because your plate is full. Restaurants do this all the time.

Put your salad on your dinner plate first, then add vegetables. You’ll only have a small space left for the meat so you’ll end up eating less meat. Meat is calorie dense. Eating less meat and more salad and vegetables means you’ve decreased your calorie consumption. And most likely your fat consumption.

Use tall thin glasses filled with ice for your cold beverages. It may just be your mind convincing your tummy you’ve had enough, but it seems that people judge how much they’ve drunk, by how much is left in the glass. A tall thin glass gives the appearance that you’ve had more to drink than you really have, so you’re ready to stop drinking sooner.

Use the 50-25-25 rule. Fill 50% of your plate with vegetables and salad, 25% with whole grains, pasta, or whole wheat bread, and 25% with a protein source like chicken or fish.

No leftovers. If there are just two of you, cook only enough food for two. It’s tempting to save time and effort to cook enough for another night’s dinner. The problem is that it’s oh so easy to have that extra piece of chicken because it’s right in front of you. No leftovers means no temptation.

Learn what a portion of different foods really are and you’re on your way to weight loss.

Simple Tips To Keep You From Piling On The Pounds When You Dine Out

You plan on carefully selecting your entrée and sticking to your weight loss program, but there are hidden pitfalls you might not even be aware of when you dine out.

Many restaurants finish off the entrée, whether steak, chicken, or pork, with a pat of butter. It melts before it reaches your table but leaves a rich taste and glossy finish. Canola oil, or other vegetable oil, is often spread on grilled entrees before they’re grilled and then again afterwards. The oil keeps the meat from sticking to the grill and adds a sheen to the meat before serving. In either case you’re getting unwanted calories and in the case of butter, a fat that isn’t good for you.

Marinades and rubs sometimes contain sugar or honey as a seasoning and browning ingredient. The amount of sugar can be as much as a tablespoon. If you’re on a low carb diet that sugar/honey can ruin your day.

Steamed vegetables can get a brushing of butter before they’re plated, just enough for flavoring but not so you’d notice the melted butter on the plate.

Salt is a primary ingredient in seasonings and over used in restaurants.

If you must have bread, ask for olive oil rather than butter. Dip the bread in the olive oil. You’ll consume less and olive oil is a good fat, where butter isn’t.

Don’t have mixed drinks as a pre dinner cocktail. Unless the mixer is plain soda water it will add calories you don’t need. Have a glass of white wine. Or even better have a white wine spritzer made with unsweetened soda water.

Be aware of cheese, it’s calorie dense, and has a high fat content. Cheese shows up in more places than you might realize. It’s used as a garnish on meats, vegetables, and of course, salads.

Cream sauces are not a dieter’s friend. If the sauce is based on dairy cream, it will be high calorie and have a high fat content. If it’s based on a sauce thickened with flour, it will most likely have a high fat content as well. Most flour based sauces use a ratio of one tablespoon of flour to one tablespoon of fat to one cup of liquid. Do you really want that tablespoon of fat?

Be aware that portions in restaurants are about double the normal portion size. That 16 ounce porterhouse steak is enough for three people, not just you. A serving of garlic mashed potatoes is about a ½ cup not the mound served in most restaurants. The good news is that restaurants also over do the salad and vegetable serving size. And while you’re having that salad, keep in mind, two tablespoons is the portion for the dressing, not the gravy boat usually served.

Be aware of hidden fat and calories in restaurant meals and you stay on track with your weight loss program.

Seniors Dating – Dont Let Anxiety Stop You

It’s an unfortunate fact, but many seniors will experience a lot of nervousness and anxiety when they start thinking about getting back into the social scene and dating again. Even if the senior person doesn’t feel much of this anxiety prior to setting up the date, the first date has a way of frazzling even the most steady of nerves.

This is normal. While we would like to think we are well beyond feeling like giddy teenagers, there is something about dating that can bring many of those same feelings back. While the nervousness and anxiety seem logical to the person experiencing those feelings, in reality, the feelings are almost always a product of an overly active imagination. Again, this is normal. But, keep this in mind; Seniors dating today are not facing any more pressure compared to their younger days. And may actually have fewer external pressures than they used to.

Regardless of how old you are, dating does not have to begin as a long-term commitment. All too often, seniors dating will feel as though time is running short for them to find a lifelong partner. They are also concerned that if they do meet someone with whom they’d like a long-term relationship, starting a close relationship isn’t practical because they are “getting too old”.

That simply is not true in any way, shape or form. You can help put your mind at ease if you approach dating as a way of getting to know someone, and not about finding Mr. or Miss Right. The key, then, is to not give into the self-imposed pressure of a ticking clock, but to relax and enjoy dating for what it is: a way of making new friends. It may or may not lead to a more serious relationship, but make it a rule to have fun first, and the pressure will disappear.

Also, as with any other segment of the dating population, seniors will usually be most compatible with those who are in the same age range. This is a good thing, because it typically means that they will share many of the same life experiences; giving them common ground on which to build. Leaving the workforce, losing a spouse and having grandchildren are a few examples.

Regardless of what they have been through, as far as seniors dating goes, they have more of an opportunity to share their memories, experiences, milestones and special moments with somebody else who has a deeper meaning what those things really mean.

As mentioned, anxiety and fear are normal for seniors dating. However, those concerns shouldn’t be so strong that they prevent someone from dating. Starting a fun, exciting and new relationship can have a positive impact on the way we look at life; regardless of how old we are.

What are you waiting for? Go out and share your experiences, meet new people and make friends. If it should then so happen, go ahead and move forward to a more intimate and substantial relationship with a person that you no know likes you for who you really are.

Self Defense And Street Fight Psychology

Let’s speak about the psychological aspect of a street collision. You should differentiate two items. You must realize, whether your fight is a result of a usual domestic conflict, or you are attacked by a robber, killer or bandit. Your actions will flow depending on these circumstances.

If it is an everyday domestic conflict that happens in the street (someone pushed you or your leg, disturbed the queue order etc.), you should not use your fighting knowledge and skills to put your opponent out of action.

As a rule, all these conflicts occur because of trifles, and you need to behave normally in this case, let’s say naturally. When this conflict happens, no one wants to fight actually, but just gets rid of the negative energy that was accumulated.

Those who express harshly their negative reaction are not dangerous at all in most cases. He will threaten you, make expressive gestures, grab you with iron fingers but nothing more will happen. This is nothing but the pose which does not contain real threat at all. However, there are exceptions in this case too. You must define at once who is dangerous and who is not.

I would like to precise one thing. Though laws and principles of a hand-to-hand fighting are the same, a sports battle in a gym differs greatly from that one happened in the street. If you are calm when fight in a sports gym and don’t worry about fatal injury, you will be extremely nervous when come across your real enemy in the street. You won’t fight according to rule (as you do in the sports gym), you need to act most quickly and cruelly sometimes for your effective self defense.

The psychological aspect plays a very important role in the street scuffle. You must prevent your enemy’s attack or take the lead over him. Therefore, I advise you on no account not to start fighting if you see you can avoid it.

If you cannot do that and you know you will be attacked inevitably, you should act quickly, harshly and be the first with attack actions. Lots of things depend on who starts the battle first. This is the main distinction of a street fight. When you train in the sports gym, it is not important at all who will attack first. Both fighters are ready to attack and defense.

It is not the same thing in the street fight. Opponents rarely stand at the certain stances (as in the sport gym) and are situated in close distance quite often. In other words, they are in the hitting zone of each other. Hence, a person who starts his attack first has a huge advantage. Attack here means just the most harsh and strong action and not the expressive gestures at usual domestic conflict.

I always feel awkward when I am forced to come into such conflict. When I see a person standing in front of myself and offending me, I feel ashamed for this conflict that occurred. This person cannot be dangerous for me, he is completely defenseless.

I know that I can put him out of action in a moment, but my consciousness does not let me do that. As we see, such clashes that happen in shops, public transport, streets etc are not the fight itself, but just an everyday conflict.

Real fight happens when your enemy or enemies are certain in their superiority over you. For example, it may be numerical advantage, force advantage or armament advantage.

So, I strongly recommend to you: try to avoid street fight at any cost. If you see you are about to be attacked, you need to act most quickly and harshly. You must always remember that if your enemy is eager to fight with you, he is sure in his superiority. If he is alone and is not too strong or high, but still wants to fight, it means most likely that he is either armed with the weapon or instructed of some martial art.

What’s the a biggest motivational tool out there when you start an internet home based business? Well for me it was the anticipation of making my first sale.

When I started my internet home based business I quickly learned that nothing comes for free and you have to work at it to become successful. I thought that I could make lots of money in a short period of time; well I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Yes, I got into the get rich quick scams to begin with, searching on the internet for ways to make money fast. First there was the “get paid for doing surveys” scheme. Then I thought that I could sell things on e-bay to make a quick buck. While there are lots of people doing this it’s not a way to get rich quick. Next was the pyramid scheme. As time went on the money kept going out and nothing was coming in.

I could have quit there but I was determined. I changed my way of thinking and started to search for legitimate ways to make money online. That’s when I found my first no “B.S” internet home based business. I learned everything there was to learn about it, applied the strategies and then reread it all to see if there was anything I missed. Doing those simple things can make all the difference.

While working my new business online I soon learned that one business wasn’t going to be enough to sustain me working at home. So I decided to take on four more legit home based businesses so that I could obtain multiple streams of income. If I could get each of them making $500.00/month that would be enough to allow me to stay at home. I dedicated myself to learning everything about them as well and all the while I kept repeating the things I had learned. Repetition and Duplication are the keys to making any home based business work.

Things started to happen after a month and a half had went by. My site was indexed from the search engines and I got a few signups to my affiliate programs. This in it self was enough to keep me plugging along, but still no sales. I was more determined than ever now, spending countless hours at my desk.

And then it happened….I got my first sale. I couldn’t tell you how happy I was.

Things have been picking up more steadily each and every month. The more I apply the things I’ve learned the more successful I become. The more I repeat things I’ve learned the more successful I become and the more I track and duplicate things I’ve learned….well you get the point.
