Eating And Exercise

Anytime you exercise, you do so in order to try and
maintain good health. You also know that you have to
eat as well, so your body will have the energy it
needs to exercise and maintain for the everyday tasks
of life. For making the best of your exercise, what
you eat before and after you workout is very important.

No matter if you are going to be doing a cardio
workout or a resistance workout, you should always
make it a point to eat a balanced mix of protein and
carbohydrates. What makes that determining percentage
of carbs and protein you consume is whether or not
you are doing cardio or resistance exercise and the
intensity level that you plan to work at.

The ideal time for you to eat your pre workout meal
is an hour before you start. If you plan to work
at a low intensity level, you should keep your pre
workout meal down to 200 calories or so. If you
plan to exercise at a high level of intensity, you
will probably need your meal to be between 4,000
and 5,000 calories.

Those of you who are doing a cardio session will
need to consume a mix of 2/3 carbs and 1/3 protein.
Doing so will give you longer sustained energy from
the extra carbs with enough protein to keep your
muscle from breaking down while you exercise.

For resistance exercise, you’ll need to eat a mix
of 1/3 carbs and 2/3 protein, as this will help
you get plenty of energy from the carbs to perform
each set you do and the extra protein will help
keep muscle breakdown to a minimum while you
exercise.

Eating after you exercise is just as important as
your pre workout meal. Anytime you exercise,
whether its cardio or resistance, you deplete energy
in the form of glycogen. The brain and central
nervous system rely on glycogen as their main
source of fuel, so if you don’t replace it after
you exercise, your body will begin to break down
muscle tissue into amino acids, and then convert
them into usable fuel for the brain and the
central nervous system.

Keep in mind that mostly during resistance
exercise, you’ll break down muscle tissue by
creating micro tears. What this means, is that
after a workout, your muscles will instantly go
into repair mode. Protein is the key here for
muscle repair, as you don’t want muscle breaking
down even further to create fuel instead of
lost glycogen.

Once you have finished a cardio session, you’ll
need to consume mainly carbohydrates, preferably
those with high fiber. Rice, oatmeal, whole wheat
pasta, and northern fruits are excellent sources.
Also, try to consume 30 – 50 grams of there
types of carbs after you exercise. After your
cardio workout, it is fine to eat within 5 – 10
minutes.

Once you’ve finished a resistance workout, you
will need to consume a combination of carbs and
protein. Unlike cardio workouts, resistance
workouts will break down muscle tissue by creating
micro tears.

You’ll need protein as this happens to build up
and repair these tears so that the muscle can
increase in size and strength. The carbs will
not only replace the lost muscle glycogen, but
will also help the protein get into muscle cells
so it can synthesize into structural protein, or
the muscle itself.

After your resistance exercise, you should wait
up to 30 minutes before you eat, so that you won’t
take blood away from your muscles too fast. The
blood in your muscles will help the repair process
by removing the metabolic waste products.

E-Commerce And Affiliate Marketing

The creation of the internet and the mass production
of computers in the late 80’s changed everyone’s
lives forever. Now, everyone has the potential to
be their own boss whether you are a stay home mom
or a manual laborer.

All you need to do is search on Google for business
opportunities and it will bring up more than you
could ever imagine. Even though you may think it’s
easy to make a living on the internet, it actually
requires a firm business plan and a lot of hard
work.

You can run an online business with your current
job, and your potential market is a lot bigger than
the average stores.

The first thing you’ll need to decide is the type
of business that’s right for you, then research
the market. The possible business choices open to
you are:
1. Affiliate programs
2. Adsense programs
3. Selling products

Affiliate programs will pay you a commission for
selling company products. You’ll have no contact
with the customer, as all you do is provide sales
leads to the company of whom you have to be an
affiliate for.

Adsense programs are where you take an existing
website you own of a particular subject then add
contexual adverts from Google’s adsense program.
When someone clicks on an advert you’ll receive a
few cents.

The final method is selling products. You’ll build
a website with a shopping cart then give as many
details as possible about the products. When
customers buy products, you’ll receive pay based
on what you sell and how many.

When it all comes down to it, you’ll need to set
up a business and web site to get the most from
E-Commerce or affiliate marketing. It’ll take a
lot of hard work and dedication – although it’ll
prove to be well worth it.

Duplication 101

If you’ve been shopping for blank CDs or blank DVDs
recently, you may have found yourself a bit
confused by all of the choices – CD-R, CD-RW,
DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW. Trying to
figure out the abbreviations between them can be
a bit mind racking indeed.

To make matters worse for those who aren’t up on
the lastest marvels of technology is the rate at
which the industry of technology is evolving.
Just when you think you’ve caught on to the
concepts of MP3s and burning CD and DVD media,
new twists on blank media hits the market and
you found yourself confused more than you were to
start with.

The “R” found in CD-R and DVD+/-R media stands for
recordable. It will tell consumers that these
disks are blank recordable media. You can record
movies, data, music, and photos on the disc, but
the discs cannot be erased.

The “RW” on CD-RW and DVD+/-RW media stands for
rewritable. This lets you know that media with
RW on them can be recorded and erased several
times. Even though the prices for blank CD and
DVD media is inexpensive, you can expect to pay
a bit more for RW type media.

The biggest source of confusion stems from DVD-R
and DVD-RW and how they are different from DVD+R
and DVD+RW media. In order to avoid a long
technical speech on the differences, you simply
need to know that each DVD types can record
movies just like the next type.

DVD+R and DVD+RW are a newer more expensive
technology that offers a few technical advantages
over DVD-R and DVD-RW. None the less, DVD-R has
greater compatibility with more DVD players than
any other format of blank DVDs.

If you have a newer DVD player or if you use your
computer to play back media, you should have no
problems with DVD+R/DVD+RW media. Some say that
they provide a better range of quality, although
the quality is indeed similar.

Keep in mind that all recordable CD and DVD media
do the same thing regardless of their particular
brand or extension. Because there is not an
industry standard that involves DVD technology,
not every DVD player is compatible with each and
every format you see on retail store shelves.

For this very reason, you should always check with
DVD player manual to see which type of recordable
media it will play back. This way, you’ll know
what to buy the next time you go shopping for
blank CD or DVD media.

Duplicating Within Your Budget

If you plan to produce, market, and sell your own
CDs, you have the need for high quality CD
duplication. If you have the need for great
quality and great prices, you should thing about
things before you turn to one company to do all
of the duplicating for you.

No matter what you use it for, CD duplication is
an expense that shouldn’t take over your budget
at all. Below, you’ll find several tips on how
to keep duplication within your budget.

1. Shop with comparison
All companies out there need to able to find the
company that is going to give them the best possible
price. If you have access to the internet, you
can do this online. Look from one company to
another until you find the best price that fits
your budget.

2. Keep within your budget
Although this is easier said than done, it’s
very important to find a company that can work
within your budget or you’ll need to get a bigger
budget. Even though you may not realize it now,
doing these types of things on credit can hurt
you later on down the road.

3. Quality
If your music or other CDs mean a lot to you,
then you should put them in the hands of a reliable
duplicator – and never skimp on quality. Always
make sure you a guarantee of the quality of their
work as well, to protect yourself.

CD duplication is a must have for the movie and
music business. There’s no doubt that you need
this type of service, although you should take the
time to find the best company for the job. When
it comes to developing your product – you’ll
want to have only the best.

Dump Truck

Dump trucks or production trucks are those that are
used for transporting loose material such as sand,
dirt, and gravel for construction. The typical dump
truck is equipped with a hydraulically operated open
box bed hinged at the rear, with the front being
able to be lifted up to allow the contents to fall
out on the ground at the site of delivery.

Dump trucks come in many different configurations
with each one specified to accomplish a specific
task in the construction chain.

Standard dump truck
The standard dump truck is a full truck chassis with
the dump body mounted onto the frame. The dump body
is raised by a hydraulic ram lift that is mounted
forward of the front bulkhead, normally between the
truck cab and the dump body.

The standard dump truck also has one front axle,
and one or more rear axles which normally has dual
wheels on each side. The common configurations for
standard dump trucks include the six wheeler and
ten wheeler.

Transfer dump truck
For the amount of noise made when transferring, the
transfer dump truck is easy to recognize. It’s a
standard dump truck that pulls a separate trailer
which can be loaded with sand, asphalt, gravel,
dirt, etc.

The B box or aggregate container on the trailer is
powered by an electric motor and rides on wheels
and rolls off of the trailer and into the main dump
box. The biggest advantage with this configuration
is to maximize payload capacity without having to
sacrifice the maneuverability of the short and
nimble dump truck standards.

Semi trailer end dump truck
The semi end dump truck is a tractor trailer
combination where the trailer itself contains the
hydraulic hoist. The average semi end dump truck
has a 3 axle tractor that pulls a 2 axle semi
trailer. The advantage to having a semi end
dump truck is rapid unloading.

Semi trailer bottom dump truck
A bottom dump truck is a 3 axle tractor that pulls
a 2 axle trailer with a clam shell type dump
gate in the belly of the trailer. The biggest
advantage of a semi bottom dump truck is the
ability to lay material in a wind row. This
type of truck is also maneuverable in reverse as
well, unlike the double and triple trailer
configurations.

Double and triple trailer
The double and triple bottom dump trucks consist
of a 2 axle tractor pulling a semi axle semi
trailer and an additional trailer. These types of
dump trucks allow the driver to lay material in
wind rows without having to leave the cab or stop
the truck. The biggest disadvantage is the
difficulty in going in reverse.

Side dump trucks
Side dump trucks consist of a 3 axle trailer pulling
a 2 axle semi trailer. It offers hydraulic rams
that tilt the dump body onto the side, which spills
the material to the left or right side of the
trailer. The biggest advantages with these types
of dump trucks are that they allow rapid unloading
and carry more weight than other dump trucks.

In addition to this, side dump trucks are almost
impossible to tip over while dumping, unlike the
semi end dump trucks which are very prone to being
upset or tipped over. The length of these trucks
impede maneuverability and limit versatility.

Off road dump trucks
Off road trucks resemble heavy construction equipment
more than they do highway dump trucks. They are
used strictly for off road mining and heavy dirt
hauling jobs, such as excavation work. They are
very big in size, and perfect for those time when
you need to dig out roads and need something to
haul the massive amounts of dirt to another
location.

Dry Foam Carpet Cleaning

The dry foam procedure is mostly rather than dry as
the name infers, although the content of moisture
is so low that it can actually be referred to as dry
foam (90% air – 10% liquid). The dry foam machine
is equipped with a pressure tank, which you will
pour a solution of water and shampoo into.

A compressor will work to convert the solution into
foam which is then dispensed all over the carpet
using a revolving cylindrical brush. The brush will
work to comb the foam through the piles of the
carpet so that each individual fiber of the carpet
is cleaned.

To achieve success, you must make sure that the
bubbles being produced are of uniformed size so the
foam can complete the cleaning process before it
is dispersed. Once it has dried, the carpet is
then thoroughly vacuumed to remove the dried crystals
of dirt that have been left behind.

Below, are the steps to the dry foam procedure:
1. First of all, vacuum the carpet and
remove all the stains that you possibly can.
2. Mix the dry foam solution according to
the directions of the manufacturer.
3. Shampoo the carpet then once it has dried,
vacuum the carpet.
4. Depending on the type of carpet you
have, groom the pile to speed the drying process.
5. Complete the work by using a furniture
leg pad or block to eliminate furniture stains
or rust.

Advantages
The process of dry foam cleaning is capable of
covering a lot of area in a very short amount of
time. There isn’t really any danger involved in
saturating the carpet simply because the moisture
content is low. This will also help you to
minimize the problems that are commonly associated
with over wetting.

Disadvantages
The dry foam method is capable of removing average
levels of soil. There is however a possibility of
excessive residue and soil build up if the machine
you are using has inadequate extraction capabilities.

Dry foam is the ideal method of choice if you have
older carpet if you want to get your carpet as clean
as possible. You can rent a machine at your local
department or carpet store if you don’t think you’ll
use it enough to buy it. They don’t cost that
much to rent, which is great for those who just
want to give it a shot and see what happens.

Dry foam carpet cleaning isn’t that hard to do,
as you’ll be fine even if you have no experience
with these types of machines. The above information
will help you greatly, and if you follow it, you
shouldn’t have any problems. Dry foam can make a
carpet look spectacular, as long as you follow
the manufacturers directions on mixing the dry
foam solution. Once you’ve finished cleaning your
carpet with dry foam, you’ll probably find yourself
falling in love with the results.

Drag Line Excavator

Drag line excavator systems are heavy machinery that
is used in civil engineering, surface mining, and
excavation. With civil engineering, the smaller
types are used for road and port construction. The
larger types of drag line excavators are used in
strip mining operations to extract coal. These are
among the largest types of mobile equipment and
weigh upwards of 10,000 tons!

The drag line excavator bucket system consists of
a large bucket that is suspended from a boom. The
bucket is moved by a number of chains and ropes. The
hoisting rope, which is powered by either a large
diesel or electric motor, will support the bucket
and hoist coupler assembly from the boom. The
drag rope on the assembly is used to draw the bucket
assembly horizontally. Through skillful maneuvering
of the hoist and drag rope, the bucket can be
controlled for many different types of operations.

Operation
With a typical excavation cycle, the bucket is
positioned high above the material that is being
excavated. The bucket is then lowered down and the
drag rope is drawn so that the bucket is dragged
along the materials surface. Using the hoist rope,
the bucket is then lifted. A swing operation is
then performed in order to move the bucket to the
place where the material is going to be dropped.
The drag rope is then released which will cause the
bucket to tilt, making the material in the bucket
fall down, which is commonly known as a dump operation.

With smaller drag line excavators, the bucket is
thrown by winding up the jib then releasing a
clutch on the drag cable, which swings the bucket
like a pendulum. Skillful operators can make the
bucket land about 1/2 the length of the jib further
away than if it had just been spun or dropped.

Limitations
The limitations of drag line excavators are the
height and length of their boom, as this limits
where the drag line can dump waste material. Being
inherent with their construction, the drag line
is most effective when excavating material
below the level of their tracks. Drag lines
aren’t suitable for loading piled up material.

Despite their limitations and high capital cost,
drag line excavators remain very popular with
several mines, due to their very low waste removal
cost, performance, and reliability.

They also have different cutting sequences. The
first is the side casting method which uses
offest benches. This method involves throwing
the overburden sideways onto blasted material to
make a bench.

The second method is a key pass. This pass will
cut a key at the toe of the new highwall and will
also shift the bench further towards the low
wall. This can also require a chopping pass if the
wall is blocky. A chopping pass will involve
the bucket being dropped down onto an angled
highwall to scale the surface.

The next method is the slowest, known as the
blocks pass. This method will however, move the
most material. The blocks pass involves using
the key to access the bottom of the material to
lift it up to spoil or to an elevated bench
level. If required, the final cut is a pull
back, which pulls the material back further to
the low wall side.

For construction, mining, or excavation, drag line
excavators are great to have. They can move even
the biggest of material, which is great for deep
holes in the ground. If you’ve been looking for a
great way to maximize mining or excavation productivity,
the drag line excavator is just what you need.
