History of Yoga

Yoga began in India 3,000 to 4,000 years ago. The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit language and means, to join or integrate, or simply union. Yoga started, as far as we know, as part of India’s philosophical system, but not everyone practiced yoga, and it has never been a religion.

There are several types of yoga. The yoga you may have seen on TV or taught at your local Y or an adult education class is called hatha yoga, or physical yoga. Sometimes it’s known as the yoga for health. You may also find yoga being taught in a hospital or medical setting. Many health professionals today feel yoga can be part of a treatment plan.

Hatha yoga has three parts: a series of exercises or movements called asana (poses or postures in English), breathing techniques of all kinds, and relaxation.

Your daily diet of food may not contain all vitamins a person needs daily. Many people just don’t eat the right food like the most popular fast foods. Some people want to lose five pounds by next week so they go on a fad quick weight loss diet that doesn’t contain the right and enough good vitamins.

The farmer that grows some of the food your eating can sometimes be the blame. The farmer is out to make money and wants his vegetable and fruits to be large, beautiful and attractive, most of all to grow fast and get a bigger crop. To make his crop grow for him he has to add chemicals to it by fertilizing, spraying, and even more water all of which can reduce the vitamins out of the crop. If the crop is being shipped it is sometimes wrapped tight, coated and sprayed to keep its color and help prevent spoiling while being transported to it’s destination.

Multivitamins are helpful if you are sick and stressed. Being sick or stressed it takes more vitamins to build you back up and repair the damage that has been caused to you body.

The lack of the right vitamin can put a person into high risk for some diseases and your general health will drop. Some Dr doesn’t like their patients to take vitamin supplements because they take to many or the wrong kinds. It is known that people who take a multivitamin on a daily basis is generally in better health than those who don’t.

There are so many different vitamins on the shelf now to choose from that it can be very confusing. First, understand you body and needs and even ask the Dr what might be the best ones to take. Your body will balance itself out naturally when taking the right vitamins.

Hip Dysplasia And Golden Retrievers

Hip dysplasia is a poor formation of the hip joints, which is a common growing disease with younger dogs of virtually every breed. With larger breeds, unsteady hip joints are common, although hip dysplasia can be a serious problem that will limit the physical activity of your Golden. Although many Golden Retriever owners don’t realize it, hip dysplasia is something that dogs inherit from their parents, and gets worse with age.

The signs and symptoms of hip dysplasia is nearly impossible to detect with Golden puppies, although it will start to show once the pup has reached the age of nine months. Even though you may take your Golden to the vet to have him looked at, your vet will tell you that you need to wait to see if the symptoms are there, once the Golden Retriever has reached a certain age.

The symptoms and signs of hip dysplasia vary, although the most common include crippling or the inability to walk properly. This disease can get better once the dog gets older though, due to the joints stabilizing, the inflammation going down, and the muscles in the hips getting stronger and more mature. Keep in mind however, that Golden’s who have hip dysplasia when they are younger will more than likely develop arthritis when they get older.

Golden Retrievers that suffer from hip dysplasia aren’t fit for breeding, although they can still live a long and healthy life. There are certain drugs that your vet can prescribe to your dog, which will help him control his weight and help control the disease. These drugs can also cut down on the pain as well, helping your Golden enjoy himself as much as possible.

Some Golden Retrievers that have hip dysplasia won’t begin to show any signs at all until they get a few years old, once the muscles start to wear down and the damage to the hip muscles start to become more noticeable. Although your dog may be active and healthy for most of his puppy years, dysplasia can slow everything down and make your dog look as if he is old and is suffering from the physical attributes of arthritis.

To eliminate the pain of hip dysplasia, there are surgery options available. Golden Retrievers have a high threshold for pain, and won’t normally show any signs of being in pain, even though you know they are. X-rays won’t show any signs of pain, although the limping or slow walking will tell you that your dog is hurting. Golden Retriever’s who have this disease won’t know it – which is why you should help as much as possible. If you do your part and help your dog seek relief – he will feel better than ever before – although he won’t let you know he hurt any at all.

Inverted Yoga

Inverted yoga reverses the action of gravity on the body. The most profound changes brought about by Inverted Yoga is in circulation. In inverted poses, legs and abdomen are placed higher than the heart.

To take in a good breath, your lungs must first be basically empty. Thus the key to efficient breathing lies in exhaling completely. A full exhalation begins with the upper chest, proceeds to the middle chest and finishes with tightening the abdominal muscles.

Only after a good exhalation can you draw in a good lungful of the oxygen-rich air your blood needs for nourishing cells.

Practice yoga and meditate to help you develop. Meditation takes a lot of practice so be patient when using yoga practices and do not expect results to happen over night.

Try to rediscover yourself by writing a journal. Write about how you feel, what you want in life; record it all, write the results as you progress. This will help you decide what is important and what isn’t. Knowing what is important and what isn’t will bring out the value in you. Knowing your values in life are the key to self-awareness and your personal growth and happiness will bet better as each day goes by.

Set some goals and deadlines on when you want to have them accomplished. Take action right away allowing you to learn and be flexible. With an open mind study and learn from other people. Finding someone to support you in your goals and to listen when you need to talk about where you want to go will help make them easier.

You will have to change the way you have done in the past; you learn by mistakes and you don’t want them to happen again. You want new results and you can do that if you do the mistakes over again.

You will grow as a person once you build your self-awareness. You will accept yourself and others you’ll become more self reliant and motivated. When your self-awareness grows you, will benefit more as a person and become more successful in whatever you want to do in your life.

Stay in control of your life; don’t let your life take over and control you. By understanding yourself and mind, you learn how to find yourself, know what has gone wrong, and fix it. Keeping your life in balance is very important to keep your self-awareness up where it needs to be in order to be happy and than you can add value to your life making you feel better.

Happy people are generous and giving. Give as much of yourself as you can and than push to give more.
